So, about 30 minutes after I sent the last email, we found a PA MSP course
that both Doug and I could attend on July 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th. We both
registered, and time off has been scheduled to ensure I can make it on time
both Fridays.

Sunday we did another 12 or so miles around the neighborhood, nothing really
exciting which has been the norm so far. Wednesday evening I got out by
myself for maybe 10 miles. There were no issues other than stalling the bike
once while trying to start out from an incline.

Yesterday (Saturday), I was all over the place. I went out three times by
myself and once with Doug for a total of somewhere around 40 miles. I still
need some work on corning ... well, confidence would probably be the better
word. But, overall it was a good few outtings.

Today (Sunday), we rode the bikes to the local diner for breakfast, and then
did a ride afterwards. I put gas in the bike for the second time and tacked
about 20 or so miles on. The major event of the day was getting out on
Business 422 in a 55 MPH stretch and actually doing a little more than that
(according to my speedometer anyway -- Doug's and mine are off a bit). Then
we hit the back roads again ... well, not the country roads I've been
practicing on, but the other more traveled ones. I'm getting a little better
with the corning, but I still need a little work there.

On my to do list of bike improvements are mirrors that I can actually see
something in, possibly bigger grips and looking for a tank that is
affordable. One thing at a time, right? Well, at least we have progress!

Oh, and I put my name in a drawing for a Dyna Super Glide. They (Classic) draw
names at the Friday Reading Phillies games, and the winners of those drawings
get a key to try in the bike on August 4th. Whoever has the right key gets
the bike. I'll let you know if I make the finals. :)

George
